    I am a long time smoker first time grower and today i was searchin gin my garage for the goods i need and i happend to find a 500 watt Halogen light and was wondering if it would be a good grow light?

    No.. Halogen sucks man.. You can't have them close enough to you're plants, so, they'll strech MAJOR..

    Get a HPS man.. Or MH.. Or even CFL.. Incadecent would even be better than halogen...

    You can get those energy saving light bulbs now for growing. A lot less heat and lower electricity bill.

    Post in basic growing you will get advice from plenty of
    people that will help you out. But I recommend CFL's for
    a first time grower they put out little heat use less energy
    and fit in your common light fixture.

    Halogen bulbs are not worth a fuck they do not have the
    right spectrum for plant growth.

    Halogens can really be a fire hazard for the indoors, dont use it indoors.
