There's only a couple of life lessons that I've actually grasped a hold on in my life. One from this situation. I was dating a girl for about 6 months. The most amazing click I've ever experianced. My emotions are pretty much dulled to the furthest extent by this point. I didn't experiance "love" for years previous. We talked about being married and such. So I asked her. She even said yes. (lemme know if you wanna know the way I asked her) The way home that night in the car she tells me that she's been with this one guy for over a year and is still seeing him. But she would be willing to break it off so we could go through with it. After 3 months, she didn't break up with him. When I made the ultimadum she chose him. Crushed. I have 2 emotions now. Happy and angry. Be careful dude. Chicks with guys are not predictable no matter how you feel. If she does accept going out with you... do you really want a girl that would see someone else while you are with her. Or even that would cheat on you. You seem intelligent. Good people love people's brains the most.

As far as opening up the lines for a possible relationship (if I'm totally off my rocker about my previous paragraph). The most natural why of going about things usually leads to the most positive outcomes. Become good friends. Have friend dates. Speak to her on a over the top honest level. Respect her one step about the level you handle yourself. If she doesn't respond. Move on. But stay her friend. Never burn bridges. Good luck!

.....she has a boyfriend, not that that means anything though. I mean it doesnt seem like they are serious. I talk to this girl on the phone, hung out with her a few times, and she has only mentioned that she has a boyfriend once but didnt really say anything about him except (my boyfriend was from afghanistan, and she was joking). It seems like we have a lot of fun when we are around eachother and always make eachother laugh. The only thing is, i dont wanna ask her out and have her say no because I work with this girl. It would probably tear me up inside knowing that im going to see her all of the time, and cant be anything but friends.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Id like some girls' advice on this also because i dont know what to do.

That's generalizing. Sometimes they're too shy to show you, and sometimes they're too flirty.

My advice: GO FOR IT. And if you're worried about getting tore up inside about it, the answer is not to pass up the opportunity. The answer is to tell yourself there are three billion more fish in the sea, and get over being easily hurt. Almost everyone is going to hurt/get hurt a few times in their lives.

Can't be too sensitive in a relationship anyway: there are some things you just have to come to terms with. Maybe a turn-down would help you in getting some more armor on your heart. It'll help you in the long run.
