Id say more than likely you are dehydrated.

A quick look at your urine is a good indicator. If it is dark yellow you need a more water. You want a very light color yellow at all times.

The standard 6-8 glasses of water a day is what you should follow.

This will keep eyes from drying out, cells functioning properly, joints lubricated, toxins moving out of the kidneys etc.

Its real important especially this time of year in northern lattitudes as much of your internal hydration is lost out of your skin.

Avoid soda.
