Why would the DEA, an agency whose continued existence relies solely on the illegalization of drugs (cannabis being the most common), have any interest in keeping them illegal? The lives of all those involved in that awful beaurocracy exist on cannabis. It's a funny twist - the DEA is more dependent on cannabis than almost all of it's users.
