Bad news is what sells. It speaks to our society. We're not interested in the cat being saved from the tree. We'd rather hear about the 11 people shot in a nightclub, the lady who burned her husband with cooking oil, the dude that carjacks a semi. Television stations need ratings, the bad news gets the ratings.

I don't think the world is bad, it's simply what we hear or what we're exposed to. There a bad people that create horrifc situations, but it doesn't speak to all of mankind. I've long felt that life is what you make it. When I did dirt, my life was filled with other dirt. Now I try to do the right things, and I'm stressed, but a majority of the experiences I have now are positive. You get out of it what you put into it. It's not always balanced like that, but for the most part, it works out.

I've always thought the media was biased and more of a tool than a source. Many good things happen, many random acts of kindness...but there's never a news camera around. Maybe if the media did better at covering some of the positive aspects of life, it would restores peoples faith in their fellow man and they would follow.

But I'll die as, simply, Chris. I tried...I made some mistakes along the way, I'm trying to do the right thing now and in the future, and I try to put into life the things I want back out of it. Whatever happens, happens...I'm just going to enjoy the ride as much as possible.
