Just snip the smallest bud leaf you can. Put it on a white paper plate. If you cut it small enough, the pocket microscope with it's light bulb on, will fit over it. You will be looking for the AVERAGE amount of clear-cloudy-amber trich's. You can take very, very small samples all over your crop. 60X works best, my opinion.
