marijuana tax?
i put this here cus its the most active forum
i just read about this marijuana tax stamp thing at norml http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=6670

It doesn't work like that. You still can't have any green, but if you're caught with any, you're taxed on it. I used to live in NC and my best bud caught busted with possesion and on top of his lawyer fees and fines, he had to pay tax on his weed. It's not a loophole, just another way for the man to take your money.

dude timothy leary fought that in court and got it declared unconstitutional... they got rid of that years ago, probly at least two decades

WHO IS THAT IN YOUR AVATAR! i've asked you this so many times before lol! And actually I thought when marijuana was first banned they didnt have marijuana taxes. Thats why they did that because the government didnt make mj tax stamps so since there was no way to get them it was I guess, considered illegal

I'm affraid they didn't. It may not be used for extra punishment or something, but if you're busted in a tax stamp state, you pay tax on what you were possesing. You might not get extra time or anything for it, but you will pay it along with everything else.

A while back I read that and told my ex about it, he was living in SC at the time and actually went to his court house with half an o, asked someone there about it and they laughed at him and told him to get outta there and not come back.
