A few lightning questions..

Would it be okay too leave the lights on 24/7 for veg ( from now until I flower)....And then when I wanna flower should I change it too 12/12 over A period of time like take half an hour off everyday? or just change it too 12/12 right away? Thanks a lot you guys this is my first grow ( obviously) and your A big help.

Plants tend to not do so well with lightning. Its awfully hot stuff ya know.

it is possible but i do not think it is the best, will it kill your plant..no, you see you re trying to mimic the natural movement of the sun aroudn the earth, there will always be some night involved unless your in Alaska for that 24 hour light sh*t but even then it's too cold outside but my point is, is that you are able to do it but i think the plants will respomd better to some darkness, a consistant amount at that

lighting - n 1: A source of light, especially a lamp, a lantern, or an electric lighting fixture.



Just fun'n with ya JJ...keeping the lights on 24/7 is bad for your electric bill...and a thing a plant would want a break from. Consider how much more your brain gets done maintaining the body during rest than it can while a person is awake and active.

So while a plant doesn't rest per se...there are aspects of their growth that simply perform better when they've a full charge and are waiting on the lights to go out before getting on with some serious cell division for...absorbing more light each and every photoperiod.

its an endless arguement about whether 18/6 or 20/4 are better then 24/0. People who dont like it, say plants need rest. People who do like it, say you get more veg growth. Honestly, I havent ever noticed enough of a difference to be attached to one, but I generally use 24/0 when trying to get as much veg as I can in a short period of time. I believe plants need light more then they need rest.

i use 24/0 they just grow grow grow i need more veg time as i am limited on hieght space
