I'm sure there is, but at a hefty cost I bet.

I wondered this myself a few years back and I couldn't find anything to seperate the instruments/voice. I think it's near to impossible without some razoo piece of equipt., but trying to seperate them would be difficult.

For a guitar for example, you don't know how many tracks they actually covered in the studio. They could have went over a guitar track a dozen times, in seperate channels probably, and more than 1 channel. The guitar might be really present on one channel, but only heard in the distance on another channel.

Try searching on the net a bit because I'd be curious if there is one available for retail.

There is no way to take a mp3 and seperate the words from the beat unless you have an MPC or a Roland Mv8000 or other high end sampling device. What you would need would be the seperate tracks, and thats hard if not impossible to get. Most hip hop instrumentals usually consist of a loop. You find a clean spot in the record and loop it. If you had a really good ear you could try to recreate the drums and other instruments by hand. If you could be more specific as to what you trying to do exactly I could help you more.

wow, let us know if that app works. It's allways been my understanding that you couldn't strip the tracks after it had been saved as a single track. Like a .psd and .jpg files. I'm not even an audiophile and that would be some fun software to mess around with.

This is the song im looking at.. im tryin to take that thumping sound thats played in the background. I'm not sure wot instrument it is maybe u can tell, if u know which sound im talking about.

When he says "police bustin at me.." " cant do nothin to a G" you can hear it right then, hear it at the start the best. Its played throughout the song tho

Thats the bassline. What you hear at the end is a snare without the low I believe. Could be one of those things that looks like a paintbrush but I forget what its called. The melody is just a synth.

I dont know what you would plan to do with that sound if you had it, but all it is a bassline. You need a program like Fruity Loops to start if you want to make beats and dont have a midi controller. You can find it on the net for free(keep in mind its a $600 program).

If all you want is the instrumental without the words on it that can be downloaded on bearshare or limewire. I hope I helped a little. If you absolutely HAVE to have that EXACT bassnote you could always spend $2600 on a MV-8000. All you do with that is stick in the cd and it breaks it completely apart. Thats a bad mufuka right there.
