Need fast answer on hood, online or local store?

OK guys I have some babies that I need to get under a 1000w pretty quick and I am about to get a air cooled hood today. If I order off line I can get a 20.4 in x 24 in hood, but if I go to the local hydro store I can get a approx 20 x 20 hydro farm air-cooled hood. Will the measurements make a huge difference in a 4 x 4 grow space?

Good question!

Hmm, if I had to guess I would say if you have ample height btwn tops and hood to work with, and you mylar/reflect your closest then it wouldnt make a difference. If you had a room that exceeded the area which the light from the hood lit up, then it would make a difference.

They both will work just fine. Make sure you get the glass and the collars to attach the blower so push air through your light and out the other side of your grow area.

Thanks Zandor. I picked up the hood at the local hydro shop. 4 sided reflector with glass and flanges. I wasn't thinking and may have got dooped on my lights. I bought 2 1000w bulbs, the Hortilux HPS with the extra blue spectrum and a MH. With the extra blue spectrum in the Hortilux is it good enough to use through the whole grow, or is it better to use the MH for veg? Either way I have them both and will probably just use the MH for veg and so on.

Oh really? Wouldn't it be better to take air out the hood than blow air in?
