mostflks dry in the dark if possible.
A fan will speed it up if mold is a concern, but a slower dry over a week or so is widely thought to help improve the taste in the long run.
Depends totally on the household humidity. With real low rh in the home, it might be just 3 days. Rh thats around 60% {thats kinda normal in a house in summer} might need 5 to 7 days drying before its smokable. Keep in mind that freshly dried stuff likely wont have a real great taste right away.
