Pound Cake - Easy, fast, cheap, delicious, and highly potent!

Just thought Id pass along our latest discovery. Although you can substitute butter for oil in many "premade" brownie or cake mixes, the end product never tastes or looks very good. Unfortunetly, very very little of these premade products are designed to be used with butter, and most of them are cornbreads and other items that aren't terribly sweet (however pot cornbread is very good).

But we finally found a good one. Krusteaz Pound Cake Mix. It requires a stick of butter, and I suggest of course using a high grade butter because this is not a big cake, its about the size of a loaf of bread. Just add another 2 eggs and some water, bake for about an hour, then while it is cooling, a simple 2 cups powdered sugar, 4 tablespoons lemon juice, and zest from one entire lemon... and youve got a kickass frosting glaze to go on top.

The cake is moist, very very dense, and tastes amazing. The lemon really worked well with our Trainwreck trimming butter and I could even give some to my parents and they wouldn't be the wiser until they were on their ass for 5 hours wondering what happened. We managed to devour the entire cake (despite its potency) in 3 days.

Thats so fucking awesome man, I just got the ok from my parents to go get an 1/8th and cook whatever I wanted with some bud butter. On a side note, how much did you mix with the butter? I am getting an 1/8th, would that work?

well making butter is a different subject. theres tons of info on google and here. however, most butter is made with shake and trimmings; stuff not good enough to smoke. I dont even use any buds at all. For all my small buds and the super crystally trimmings I make hash. With the leaves and other crap, I make food.

the problem with using only an 8th to cook, is that the process is not efficient enough to take advantage of all that extra THC. It is not worth paying $50 for a chronic 8th when you can pay $50 for an ounce or two of shake and/or trimmings, get almost as high on an equal dose, and have tons left for you, your family, and your friends.

Then again, if you make a pound cake and you dont mind eating the entire pound cake at once...it would probably work fine for one person. The problem is the butter will not be potent enough to make a small piece work, but you need a lot of butter to bake something.

I suggest smoking the good weed, and trying to get some shake or trimmings. If you know any growers, theyll usually part with it for free or close to free (unless they want to cook like you!).

Of course, if you find a recipe or chop the ingrediants in half, you could make a little butter that was pretty potent, and make a few cookies or something. Baking is just easier when your making a lot.

Hmm, well I've been looking around google and i saw a recipe for brownies and bud oil, 3.5-5g is used and suposedly it works fine, I do agree with you that trimmings would work better but I can't get ahold of em right now.
