Hey does any one know what the laws are up here in the great bloody cold north. Or even better in Alberta??????

Iam sure we have all heard the stories of you can have up to 36grams in your posesion, cops wont care if you have up to 15 plants, And so on.

So whats the real truth, any one know?????????
I have spent the better part of the last 2 hours looking up laws on the internet and have found a total of squat.

So if any one knows please share.

Sorry. Unlike the US, Canada's laws are federal. That means the laws in Newfoundland are the same in British Columbia. There is no provincial difference in federal law (criminal law is universal througout Canada, hence, the Criminal Code of Canada). Provincial law that governs fishing, driving, hunting, building, etc... varies from province to province.

The real truth. People get busted all the time for any amount. There is no leagally accepted amount of pot or plants to have. The more pot you have the more likely you are going to be charge with "Possession for the purposes of trafficking".

General rule - the more you have the longer your sentence is.

I have a feeling that what you were looking for was the case of the kid in Windsor who got picked up for having 15g on him. The case was tossed out because there was a legal challenge before the Supreme Court of Canada on wether or not there was an amount deemed to be personal included in the law.

Double bad news. Legally there is no personal amount accepted by law.

Next political. The current Conservative governement is really, really anti-pot.
