    THE BEATLES Thread!

    I am going through a complete Beatles phase right now. Im hooked on Rubber Soul....Michelle, Drive My Car, Norweigen Wood, Nowhere Man are current favorites off that album.

    Definitely agree. So much attention gets paid to Sgt Pepper but, although it is a great album too, I think Abbey Road is better. It really flows well, the tempo on some songs starting slow, then building up, then back down again. Just something about it.

    Once me and a friend were driving through the Illinois countryside at night, tripping on acid, and listening to Abbey Road. It was simply incredible.

    Funny thing about Abbey Road is that is was really just a bunch of random stuff they had. Most of the songs on the b-side ( I actually had the old vinyl record) were not even finished. It just goes to show the genius on their producer, George Martin. He really was the 5th Beatle definitely deserves more credit than most people give him.

    Anyone into the Beatles should read The Beatles Anthology. It's mostky put together from interviews with John, Paul, George, and Ringo themselves and is a great read. Lots of great stories like how they were all completely baked when filming the movie Help. :thumbsup:
