trying to stress my plants ....

Are you refering to what is called polyipod(I dont remember how it is spelt, I read about it in my grow books)

You strip the plants of almost all foilage at a certain stage, and it supoosedly supposed to encourage extremely high yields if done correctly?
WeedGremblin Reviewed by WeedGremblin on . trying to stress my plants .... here's an oddball question for the experts ... I have 4 plants a month into flower, that are so damn good, I want seeds from them ... they're already flowering well, probably too late to pull clones from them ... I stripped lots of leaves off of them, ran the temps up into the mid-90s, sprayed the hell outta them with Windex (an orchid-grower told me that will cause sex reversal ... didn't work, plants seem to LOVE the stuff :p ) ... still 100% female ... now, I'm curious if putting them back Rating: 5

Do you mean polyploidy, where the plants have an extra chromosome?
    Nope.
    I wouldn't strip the plants.
The gibberellin method is taking one branch and exposing it to the acid to get it to produce male sex parts, adn using the resultant pollen to cross it to itself.

I just looked at doing this and was going to try the gibberlic acid method when I asked a very knowledgable person who works in the industry about it. he feels that doing it to make seeds makes the seeds have a high chance of being hermmies. He said he knows of people who have done it and not got one female plant thru to harvest.
Where are those real experts that hang out here???????

Hmmm... should we be offended by this?

As I said earlier in the thread, I keep real live male plants in veg so when I want seeds, I make seeds. No chemicals.

I posted about the gibberellin for information. I personally can't recommend using it. I feel that the fewer artifical chemicals or hormones come in contact with a growing organism, the better chances it has of successfully reproducing itself with no mutations/inherited weakness/etc. So yeah, it doesn't surprise me that your expert has had problems with herms.

First pic, which I thought looked like my plants..I can only hope...My clonning unit with a round air stone...Roots are nice and white and healthy...Any thoughts or comments appreciated...Thought I could show The Image Reaper that even a rookie like me can take clones from plants 50 plus days into flower and have success...

trying to stress my plants ....

this thread is months old ... this is the Joey Weed NL99 I purposely stressed, trying to get a male flower to appear, with no results ... the most stable strain I've ever run across in 40+ years of growing (rookie ) ... anyway, she survived, despite my cruelty ... pretty stunted, but should still pull a couple ounces of dried, cured, powerhouse bud from her (would rather have gotten seeds from her, the whole purpose of my mistreatment) ... I prefer not to clone ... am currently germinating some Motarebel Killa Queen 2006, should be somewhat similar potency as this girl ... :smokin:
