I work in the food service industry. The servers i work with are mainly coke heads. I'd say about 20% They make $150 in a night, then go to the bar (-$35) then they all go and get some blow (-$100)
Get up the next day and do it again. Unless its the 28,29,30th. Then they all bitch above have to 'make rent'

Thankfully, i try to say on the outside of that stupid shit. I'll go and have a couple drinks and force myself to leave (sometimes ) I don't fuck with coke, but i see its use all the time.
It is a horrible cycle of NEEDING to go get a drink after work, just to try to forget about it, but then go and spent all that earned money, trying to forget how bad it was to earn.

But if you think you can stay on the outside, i would say get a job in a restaurant. When people i think are 'cool' ask me if i smoke (they want a cigarette) i always say 'not cigarettes'.
Or if i need to ask someone, ill say something like "you know where to find any smoke" if they don't 'burn down' they normally offer a cigarette or say no. You get a strange look just say 'smokes, i need a cigarette' and pitch that nasty shit:rasta:
