Since history IS invariably written by interested parties and is infinately biased in favour of the victor I would say there is no such thing as historic fact.

History is also objective and written from the perspective of a few and we all know it's difficult for people to agree, anyone who has collected eye witness statements from a traffic accident will soon discover the disparities between different peoples versions of events.
