Alright, i've been smokin for about 4 years now. for the past 3 its been fairly heavily, easily everyday. About 3 years ago there was a one month stint when i'd take too big a bong toke, get really dizzy and tunnel-vision and would black out, leading to some muscle spasms and convulsions as i'd conciously 'fight' the blackout. Id regain control in under a minute and im strangely clearheaded only moments after. After those initial 3 times its happened maybe 2 more times, all following bong tokes, until this week when i was comin off of shrooms. We were watching Emily Rose, and a scene of her convulsing made me immediatley sick to my stomach, and i quickly got the same sick and dizzy feeling, i had the bong in my hand as it had gone around 4 people in a session and was coming back to me, but had not taken a hit yet. I soon blacked out in my seat, nearly dropping the bong before someone grabbed it and began jerking my arms and legs with a tensed up face.

I've already concluded that i should really see a doctor about this, despite the awkwardness of saying it only happens when im ripped, my initial research has lead me to think these are symptoms of epilepsy. I was wondering though if anyone else has ever had these blackouts/greenouts or has any other recommendations. thanks.

it could be epilepsy i have epilepsy and usally dosen't bother me when i smoke unless i smoke too much too fast but i would deffinatly talk to a doctor and don't worry about telling him that it happens when your ripped cause i told my doc that i was smokeing and he was cool they can't really do anything like turn you in or anything like that but you need to get checked soon some of my sizures are kinda like what you have said except they feel like i am in another world or a dream for like a miniute or 2 i have had big ones where i start convulsing but they have me on meds now that control them pretty well so good luck to you

This happens to me occasionally.
I think it's just severe oxygen deprivation.
I'll take a bong hit, and then suddenly wake up to my entire body convulsing, spasming, usually splashing bong water all over myself or the floor. It's not pleasant. I don't know why this only happens occasionally, it doesn't always happen when I hold it in too long or smoke too fast.

Wow, I can't imagine waking to my body spazing out uncontrollably. Ha, I'd be scared to toke up again~

yeah seriously you guys have my consent, brave motherfuckers. you should definitly see a dr. about that. hopefully you have a nice atleast semi-liberal dr who you can tell that you smoke herb. drugs are weird man, they can effect you at certain times on certain days in certain conditions. ive heard it as 'non specific' which is YOU. check your family history and see if epilepsy runs in the family. it could even just be a switch that got turned on smoking weed and now you have tp deal with some chemical imbalance.

try your best to see the dr, but try not to join the prozac nation if you can help it.
