outdoor swamp plot 1week old plants...
Hello fellow growers !
I recently germinated about 5 seeds ( bagseed ) and planted them outside.
I live in north central florida so we don't get freeezes till late november if that.
I planted in the basin of a dried swamp/creek the fills up in late winter to spring. The soil is VERY rich and moist.. almost clay like but less compacted, as it has a lot of organic material that has decomposed and gathered there. The soil is absolutely amazing ! They get about 6 hours ( give or take 1 or 2) in the sun as they are in an openining, but have large trees that block the early morning and late evening sun.
Assuming they don't get eaten or turn out male, how long will it take before they go into flowering ? The day goes below 12 hours here around late september. So i am thinking they will have atleast about 2 months for vegetative before they enter flowering. The florida sun is great and the soil is like rich flood plain soil so i am hoping that will make up for starting them so late in the season. just curious if i will get a decent yield or if i am wasting my time.
I might post some pics later on when they get bigger
:rasta: any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

There's no such thing as a waste of time when it comes to beginners growing. Everything you do right now is a learning experience if this is your first grow, especially an outdoor grow.
Concerning your yield, it's hard to say since it was bagseed so you may be unsure of the strain that you're growing. Some strains will flower earlier than exactly 12/12, so you may not vegetate as long... but with some TLC from you, I'll bet that if you get a couple of females, and growing in that kind of soil, you may get a lower yield due to the late grow, but hopefully a nice, potent smoke if the strain allows.
And think of it this way... next year come April or May you'll know exactly where to start your grow!
Good luck, wish I could be of more help.
