Little white worms...
I woke up this morning and went to check on my seeds I planted 2 days ago, and I was surprised to see a tiny clear bodied worm with a black head sticking out of the soil. It wasn't more than 2mm long. I took out one of the seeds with tweezers, and another of the worms was looking at me from inside the seed.
I pulled out the rest of the seeds from that container, and found more of these little fuckers... The other seeds in seperate containers (I was experimenting with different soils) seem to be uneffected.
Sorry for lack of pics, I couldn't get a good pic of them because they're so damn tiny. I also can't find anything about them just by googling "clear larva."
I'm on the west coast of the US. Anyone have any idea what they might be?
I don't think it'll be a problem if I can get the seedlings started and transplant them...BloodAngel Reviewed by BloodAngel on . Little white worms... never heard of any bugs that live inside seeds but i do know picking out seeds that have already been planted is not a good thing to do. once planted, leave em be! it takes patience but it's a must...
and leave the experiments for later and concentrate on following 'the book' so you'll at least have something to show for your time and efforts.
another tip ; plant only 1 seed/pot.

They used to be in my grandmothers soil, when ever she watered it they would come out. I was amazed at the time because I was only a child but what ever they are I know they like water
. I dunno about these either but what ever soil your using please tell me now so I will know to stay away.

I didn't really think about what it was at the time, but I have heard that peat moss is bad for cannabis.

Well I'm not for sure when you say "laying around" means you dug the soil up or what but when you get some soil. If you wanna be sure that theres nothing in it like bugs or stuff, basically a method to sterilize your soil is to bake wet soil in a large pot at 200 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. You should try this for your next grow attempt and see if those bugs still stick their heads out

I can't go that involved into a grow until I move out from my mom's house when I turn 18 (in a month)
This was just a "mess around and see if the seeds sprout" attempt, but I'll try that when I start my real garden in my new apartment (I'm gonna do the bi-level closet system)
