shrooming tonight- 1st time

yo guys n gals.
My mate's got some shrooms, I was really after some cid but he aint got none.

either way, he's got some shrooms and I'm gonna bust up to him in a few hours.
Although I've read a bit bout shrooms I don't really know much about it. He's done them once before at glastonbury, but he just said after munching him, (they tasted shit) and he fell asleep, when he woke, he saw like, weird looking lights an then he just crashed again because he was knackered.

Is it as visually strong as acid? I know it depends ultimately on what shrooms your munching, but generally, what's the main things you associate with shrooms?
Hallucinations?
lights?
sounds?
etc.

Psilocybin, the active chemical in shrooms, is actually slightly more visual then LSD of an equivilant dose, but acid effects sounds more. Music however often sounds amazing on shrooms, and sound seems to have more depth and volume. I can tell my trip has started by looking t the carpet-weird patterns start appearing, woodgrains are very cool. You will also get very giggily.

Only do it with freinds you trust somewhere safe where no one is going to bother you. Get what you need (pink floyd album's, rolled joints, simpsons dvd's etc before hand. Only take them if you are in a good mood and positive frame of mind, and go into the experience knowing it will end in a number of hours (ive noticed a lot of inexpereinced trippers freak out thinking they are going to be tripping for good).

I heard these shrooms were REALLY potent...a friend of mine stripped naked and was freaking out on only 1gram....how many did you take?

I would reccomend you and your friend buy a quarter between the two of you....take 2grams at first, and in in an hour if you like what's happening and you want more, take the rest.

Your first trip is sacred, don't waste it by thinking you needed more. :P
