Yeah, and the Supreme Court/PATRIOT ACT have decimated the 4th Amendment into virtual meaninglessness. They can get away with just about anything these days. Nonetheless, probably best not to consent to a search in the absence of a warrant, but know that the refusal could be used against you later if they secure a warrant after the fact. After the Supreme Court opened the door to Terry stops, it's been downhill all the way. Be careful, because they can get away with all kinds of searches now that were illegal just 20 years ago.

I have not, in all my years of drug use, I have never been caught by anybody but my mother, and that was because I was living in her house at the time. It hurts me to see so many people losing a part of they're lives in prison to a simple mild altering chemical. Going to prison just for a simple possesion charge, it is the most vile, unreasonable thing I have ever heard in this day and age. It's sick that the government treats drug users in such a way...
