I think birdgirl hit one thing very right..

a little exercise seems to be the best thing to snap me out of a depressed mood. and i would bet (dollars or doughnuts) that it is the same for many people.

Its funny, someone up there said that smoking can lead to depression, and in UK cannabis is classed as a depressant, although cannabis smokers are at a significantly lower risk of be comming depressed.

I did at first but eventually that depression goes away. I with it's a withdrawal thing .
