lol...i know right where you got this light at...LOWES...it was in the outside security lighting area...and yes...it would be a great light for vegging...it is a day light...or a cool white...but you would need to still get warm whites for you flowering...it has a mogul base on it..so you will need a ballast...as your local hardware shop for a ballast...or if you havent purchased the light yet....go back to lowes and get the light fixture that it comes in...youll find it hanging up on the diisplay area...good luck growing..
HAHAHAAA...I SMOKE TOKE AND JOKE YOU FUCKING COP BASTARDS...KEEP LOOKING but youll never find anything

For the price of all that...You can get more lights, more lumens, and way more flexibility by hitting wal-mart.

Wal-mart has the LOA full spectrum 'sunlight bulb'. From 15-35 watts. The priciest of them is $8.

the WalMart CFLs you are talking about are MUCH less powerful than the one in the original post ... :smokin:

You would need at least 5 of those in order to hit 50 w/SqFt formula target.

    4.5' x 1.5' = 6.75 Sq Ft of grow space
    6.75 x 50 = 337.5 Watts of light
    337.5 / 65 = 5.2 LOA fixtures needed

For the same money you could get better fluorescents. For example, www.100bulbs.com, has several large CFLs that have the ballast built-in for a comperable light, eg. 105W-$25.

Sure...but for the price of the one 65 watt...4550 lumens...just it alone.

    vs...

Four 30 watt ....1800 lumens each....7200 lumens total.

Might even be able to add a 5th bulb and still come under the price of that bulky floodlight.

correct me if i am wrong...but the cfls adding up would cause more heat...more problems and probably over all less efficiency...pastor420 is correct about the bulbs on 100bulbs.com...but...would you rather buy 2 of those...WHICH WILL GET THE JOB DONE...maybe not full potential yeild...but this sounds like your first grow...GO BUY 2 of those LOA lights and put them into your box....and be done with it...dont think about lights again...because in all honesty...you will drive yourself crazy thinking about lights...now...also something to put into perspective..you might not want to order over the internet..BAD IDEA for people in the states....just a suggestion...but 2 lights...that WILL get the job done..compared to about 140$ total because of S and H...and possible risk of being caught...HMMMMMMMMMM...i would and HAVE choosen the ones at lowe's....

OH and by the way...think of what would happen if you broke your precious internet light bulb..???? then look at the price of the lowe's bulb...the lowe's replacement bulb is only 10$....MY GOD...100$ or 10$....HMMM
