Quick question (for the comp people) Hey i hear a loud buzzing noise coming from my pc. I opened it looked in it i orginally thought it was my heatsink fan buts its not. Its a little fan ON the motherboard. And i would like to know what is causeing it and how i can fix it and what the fan is named. I would really appreciate it cuz the fan is not spinning properlly because of this and i dont wanna fri anything. Thanks allot guys Rating: 5

I have the duster... But anyway i fixed the problem but no i have another problem. Well now when i hit the power button on my comp the power supply will make a wierd screeching noise and the comp wont come up with anything, but the fans and stuff still come on. I dont know wtf happend but its happening and it sucks. So does anyone have any suggestions for this computer. I fixed one problem and got a whole other problem.
Ps. im writeing this on a diff comp

check your memory in the pc, you may have loosened one from it's slot. Reseat the ram and the video card.
Better yet, call your local 17 y/o geek kid over, roll him a spliff (after he fixes the problem) and give him $30.
Thats probably the quickest and cheapest way to get this fixed.

Are all your cords connected? Check that first. As for the power supply, go ahead and replace it, with an identical one if at all possible. Don't EVER, I repeat DO NOT EVER open your power supply because it contains capacitors that will hold a charge for long periods of time. You could die from an electric shock. Anyways, after checking the connections of your cords, using an electrostatic ground strap, check the connections of your memory (RAM). Take them out, blow off the dust, and replace them, making sure they are seated well.
