UK Drugs ReclassificationJust wondering if anyone else watched the news yesterday and seen the report about the call from certain politicians to reclassify drugs according to the harm they cause to health, society, family etc. Good news is that tobacco and alcohol are classed above cannabis, lsd and ecstasy.

Here is a link to it

UK Drugs ReclassificationWTF they're going to make alcohol illegal????

UK Drugs ReclassificationThat chart represents the current drug scheduling, it wasn't saying that cannabis is more or less harmful just that it's unscheduled.

And in no part of the article does it suggest that they would make alcohol illegal. It points out the oppossite actually.

"That's not to say there's any argument that alcohol should be banned but it does give one a feel for the relative harm".

It's good to know that at least some people in some other government have their heads on straight. I hope they get a new scheduling system through, and I hope that the rest of the world follows their lead if they do it.

UK Drugs ReclassificationWell, the government only tend to listen to you if you have thorough scientific backing... and this does.
It will take a few more years yet, but either by scientific proof or pressure from groups like NORML, Herb WILL be reclassified. I remember hearing a story somewhere that the government was thinking of creating another class - class D - does this story have anything to do with that? Class D drugs would be regulated, like tobacco and alcohol. In other words...
