Arachnophobia
I was working outdoors in Arizona around a wood pile.
Felt something on the underside of my arm.
Turned my arm over and there was a black widow the size of a quarter.
Got it off just in time!!
Typically dont worry about spiders except for the brown recluse and black widow.

Anything with more than four legs is just abnormal, and should be killed immediately.
Ooh, I have a fear of power cables (electricity in general... if Im at the PC and it switches off due to a power cut, Im scared to touch it incase I get an electric shock) and small children. I dont know if the small children scare me, or if its just because I MAJORLY dislike them, but either way I stay away from them. Midgets are cool though.

Arachnophobia
I'm not generally scared of spiders. But there was one time I got VERY scared.
During the invasion of Grenada, me and a friend went out on a recon patrol. We started heading up this hill, which was apparently someone's banana farm, banana trees everywhere, smelled like bananas. Was kind of enjoying the banana smell, but halfway up the hill, I looked up, and what I saw scared the the hell out of me.
Covering the tops of the trees, going from tree to tree, webs, everywhere, giant webs. And suddenly a big fucking spider fell from a tree, landed on my knee and bit me on the kneecap. I mean, this thing was just huge. They were some kind of banana spiders, and they were everywhere! They were several inches across, never seen spiders that large before.
Anyway, we booked like hell away from that hill, and while we did, we could hear and see spiders dropping down from the trees like hail, some landing on us and some not. I didn't get bitten again, and my friend didn't get bitten at all. (Hell, we were wearing flak jackets and stuff, not a lot of exposed areas for them to bite.) When we got to safety, I rolled up my pants, cut an incision with my bayonet across the spider bite and sucked what juice I could out of the wound. It swelled up, and I didn't feel real good (but I'd also had like umpteen different vaccinations a couple of days prior, so I was feeling like shit anyway).
Anyway, if you start smelling banana, and you see banana trees, look up and make sure there's not an army of big ass spiders waiting to fall on you.

allways been affraid of spiders. nothing that small shoudl be that dangerous. like the irukandji jellyfish. when we were dating my wife used to make fun of me for being affraid of spiders till she ended up in the hospital for three days after she was bit by a brown recluse spider in the middle of the night.
