Busted by the cops.

i got busted too man, but i dont live with my parents so thank god for that. Shit sucked though, i got pulled over right down the road where i lived at so i was literally less than a minute away from home when it happened. The cop said i was swerving in an dout of the lane like i was drunk ( wasn't drunk, i had one 211(more than 2 hrs earlier) it was also around 3 am so i was pretty tired which is why i left my friends in the first place. Anyway the cop saw part of the bag with weed in it and asked me if it was marijuana so thats when i was like fuck, and i told him it was and then he made me get out and cuffed me. He also found the empty 211 bottle which sucked but he didn't cite me for it, he also found my brass knuckles which i had totally forgotten about and he didn't cite me for that either but he said he would throw it down a sewer. They also found my bong so i was busted for misdemeanor under 40grams of marijuana and possession of paraphanelia.
I went to court and found out that the cop lied about the brass knuckles cuz they were right there next to the bong and weed in the evidence photo's but like i said, he didn't cite me for them so i wasn't charged for them. Anyway thats my story.

I disagree with a sit down and explaning to them about the situation. Its almost laughable to think that would be effective for parents that strict. You're just going to have to do it behind their backs, so what? Most of the world smokes like that.

Telling someone not to try to resolve a problem between two people by talking is crazy. Your attempt may not be met opening but you can say you honestly gave it a 100% effort. If his parents were that bad they would have thrown right when this happened. The fact he is still under their roof means they are not that cold and their relationship is not completely lost.

Alright thanks for all the comments, allow me to explain a few things though.

I don't intend on simply just telling them to "Fuck Off" and I suppose I should follow the rules of the house considering I don't pitch in on the bills.

But my parents are very controlling, they won't let me have a license, permit, or a job. And they are using this situation as even more power to take these things away from me.

If I had one phone call I would probably call my older brother, He smokes weed too, and when he was 14 my parents sent him to a correctional facility in samoa (a foreign pacific island country) for 27 monthes. Now their not going to do that to me considering this is my first offense but if I keep up this kinda thing I don't doubt for a second they would.

The other thing is, I do take some responsability for getting caught, BUT the cops had nothing on me, there was four of us there, They did not see me smoking, and I didn't admit to it, I had no paraphenellia or drugs on me, they stopped by us because my friend parked in a no-trespassing area near a park in a subdivision that one of our friends lived in. He saw smoke in the car apparently and when my friend opened the door he said he saw smoke pour out.

I honestly don't think it had much to do with stupidity, I'm sure we could of been more cautious but honestly it wasn't like sheer immaturity, this is the first time I've been caught by ANYBODY and I've been smoking for 5 years (but only it's only been about 2 years since I started smoking a lot).

You're entitled to make your own decisions. Your parents are going to instantly hate the idea of their 'little boy' doing drugs. You need to talk to them. Just tell them of the worse things that can be done, and that you are capable of being responsible and not messing your life up when your smoking pot compared to anything else. That's what I did. My mom knows who I get my grass from, how I get it, how much I get, but she's cool with it. Show them you can be responsible and it'll change their thinking about it. Trust me.

Kein, that sure adds ALOT of facts to the situation. You sound like a good kid. Your home live may not be what you wish it was, but not many are.

I bet you made good grades in school. Do you have any desire for a higher education or college? I encourage you to look into it. What kind of 1st job would you like? Presenting yourself as well as you have makes me think will have no problem finding employement, Keep us updated.

K, first thing, don't defend your position that you decided to smoke. It is your right to. However, in doing so you'll alienate them and lose their support which is detremental. My best advice is to take the plunge and tell them youll never touch that 'demon' again. Get them thinking that your spiritual inclined and theyll think nothin of it. Sure they might monitor you for a bit but once the opportunity knocks, hit that fucken bong.

Just be sure to NEVER get caught again and learn from your mistakes.

Yeah actually I do have pretty good grades in school, I have only failed one class before (a math class) but retook it and passed, I've done exceptional on all my standardized tests, and have a pretty good GPA. I will be graduating a quarter earlier next year, assuming I do well.

As far as job's go, I've been wanting to work at a warehouse records not too far from me, I picked up an application but my parents say that the kind of people working their will be "stoners, and a bad influence on me". So it looks like that's a no-go.

As far as college and higher education goes. I plan on going to a community college to take my core-classes, and then applying to some sort of school like Berklee School of Music.. or something similar. (I play guitar, and piano).
