headlights/highbeams.....
this mite b a dumb azz question, but would it b possible to wire up some headlights to a battery in ur grow room and use those lights...they seem pretty bright to me, especially the highbeams...u wouldnt have to worry about ur elec bill goin up.....jus a thought...

actually, ive thought about doin that myself as well, but i dont think the right type of lights are in headlights that are in growlights. later.

wrong color temperature
and u still will need to keep recharging the battery(s) probably a few times a day.. so the reality.. u will have a battery charger pluged in all day to run the lights from....
just an overall bad idea

i mean if you have a "no driver" lying around in your garage... and it has HID lights, your could save money on bulbs/fixtures and just use that.
HID lights in cars range from 3000k to 12000k... im pretty sure you'd want the 3000k tho (which would prob be stock)

They're halogen. Not the right kind of light. Not the right spectrum. Plants would stretch, and die.
