    Vegging Cabinet

here is my rough vegging cabinet. its 2'x2'x4'.
It is lined with mylar (camping emergency blanket style)
    5x23W CFL 6500K
2x20W 6500K Fl. tubes on sides
2- 3" computer fans blowing in, on on bottome left, one upper mid right side.
I used self supports screwed to the back wall to make the light board adjustable in height. I could adapt this cabeint for a 250W HPS, but I think I will build a second cabinet for flowering. The cabinet isnt light tight, it doesnt need to be, I just needed to contain the light I was losing. I think I could easily vegg 4-6 plants in this cabinet. Currently temps only in the mid 80's... gonna get a humidity/temp guage asap.
    what do you think?

monitor the temperature at the top of the plant. That way you can get the lights as close as posible but not burn the plant.

You might want to move the plants closer to the cfl's. A lot of people say you can put it within an inch range, but I keep mine a bit further.

    Nice chamber!

That pot is HUGE for that size plant though. I got much better results by stepping up pot sizes from 16oz plastic cups, to a 6 inch pot, to a 10 inch pot, etc etc.. That way the plant will fill the smaller space with roots, then you put it in a larger container and maximize space.

thanx for the input. I have the lights about 2" from the top of the plant. I realize I could have gone with a smaller plant, but I was over-zealous and Im not gonna mess with it now.. it will get bigger!
