Yes, let them go, they dont have enough time to swarm before you cut. I just fought off thrips (for now) last wednesday, habenero & water sprayed on the soil and under a few fans leaves did the job (caught it early), mine are 33 days into flower right now. I havent had to spray since friday (just avoided spraying the buds) and it seemed to work. you could always just inspect the leaves and rub those fu#kers off with your fingers(doesn't take much more than a light touch), that works too.

that really sucks about ur plants mrberrys.. id take 4x5's advice and with the habenero and water for a week, hes at abbout the same spot as you in flowering.. or just examine throughly and rub off what you can .. a couple bugs in ur bud is better than nothin.. im sure we've all smoked worse to catch a buzzzz i know i have..

just habenero hot sauce from grocery store, like 50ml and 300ml water (any more and you'll burn up some leaves like me, till I got that mix right) really just on the soil and big fan leaves, (they hatch from the soil at first) so at least you'll eliminate any new ones, the ones that make it to adulthood will fly around and hit your lights <ZAPO!> the adults die off quick if you got lots of air movement blowing them around.

im gettin really stressed now.. i went into my tent and looked at my girls well every other leave i looked at had 1 of them thrips on them.. they r so small look like little worms... r u sure my plants will make it to harvest??? im sein a vision of my plant bein covered head to toe in them.. im 5 weeks in 12/12 2 plants are behind.. so i have bout 4 weeks on 3 plants and 4-6weeks on the other 2 plants... could there be millions on my plants now?? i just saw at least 10 in a quick min scan..+ i hate the thought of going in my grow room now case i brush a leave and them nasty bugs get on me... damn i go in my grow room in shorts only coz its 2 hot.. but now i just feeel itchy this is so so not good.. if it wasnt for the fact that my plants will give me a lot of bud i would kill them.. but buyin weed skints me.. so i really need this bud it looks so so nice 2.. im still in anger mode.. fuckin wanker bugs i fuckin hate em... if i do make it to harvest after cuttin the plant if i hang them upside down will some bugs drop off? well im gonna light up another spliff i need to chill the fuck out b4 i have a hernia..

yeah when I counted 8 in a minute on one of my plants, I freaked and thought they were all over, after the first spraying, next morning I counted 1 total (out of all 4 plants), next day of spraying, couldn't find any... get the point? I also turned up my fans so when the adults try to get to another plant, they are blown far away (just took them one at a time out of the room and set a 20" box fan blowin' on them, you see them fly up and they get blown "bug miles" away from their target.

Or try that mix, and use a cotton swab to dab them with the mix, it kills them instantly, they turn brown and disappear in hours, but I think spraying the soil is key to control.

ok well thank u so so much for ur reply.. i will look for habenero hot sauce 2moro first thing.. ive never heard of it... but if i cant find it would my plants be ok if i leave them? or could they have millions on them by harvest? the man at the hydro store advised me against usin any sprays as they r in flower so i dont want to do that...

how much would i have to spray the soil???? allso if i cant find that sauce cant i just buy the spray to kill them and spray the soil with that?

is this the sauce Dave's Gourmet 'Hurtin' Habanero Sauce' ?? becoz if it is then its only avalible to the uk by mail order ..

You could use any hot sauce with jalepeno, habenero, any pepper, I would avoid spraying any chemicals on plants/soil. Some farmers use garlic plants growing with their tomatoes, guess that works too. but just spray enough to wet the surface of soil, and the underside of the leaves (hold upside down in hand to control overspray). It takes 8-10 days for them to get their wings (thats 1/3 of the time you have left), after that, they mate and more come (6 days for more larvae), you may have to harvest early if it gets bad, but you could get away with doing nothing but squashing them, it's just a bit more tedious.

BTW went and sprayed my soil again since last post, grossed me out just thinking of seeing them. <shivers..>

ok so i looked in my kitchen i have found a tube of chopped chillies will tis work?? if so how muc do i add to water?? thanks again.. ive spotted so many of them fuckers now if i dont get rid im gonna go mad
