of course they're here...count on it! but it takes one in your immediate area who knows exactly where you live before it'll matter on a personal level. but you'd better believe they're here if for nothing else than to keep tabs on the lingo and culture...and to gather evidence for why it should never be legalized!

It all comes down to this...DO NOT post anything specific that you wouldn't want someone to know. If you were growing, would you run and tell your nieghbors? Most likely not...so you shouldn't post your picture on a cannibas word with obvious references to where you live.
Not pointing to a specific situation, but if you understand (or take the time to understand) the law, then alot of situations can be prevented and avoided altogether. It really does fall down to common sense.
But in answer to the OPs question...no doubt. THere are various local, state, and federal agencies that monitor this board and others that are similar...at times. I hardly think Agent. FatAss is sitting in his chair, ready to pounce. But...if someone leaks enough incriminating information, it will find its way back to the appropriate agency.

The only difference between having a disclaimer online vs. real life is that online anyone can lie, and it's basically saying "HEY I'M LYING" while in real life you'd probably have the proof right there.

Based on the law of large numbers, youd better believe they are here and monitoring. Why not? Think about this: If YOU were a cop, say DEA, since they are on a federal level, and they have more resources, and say you were a smart agent, and somehow "stumbled" onto this site, wouldnt you look at all these people posting pictures of home setups, illegal activity-indicating posts, and think to yourself "im going to find out if this person is in the U.S. (im sure there is a way, they are the U.S. Govt. and if a computer nerd at home with not as many resources can do it)". And if they are, how much harder would it be to find our what physcial address their posts are being sent from? Now true, you wouldnt want to this with everyone that posts a picture of a seedling, but you might be inclined to put forth more effort on the BIG ones, the ones with pictures of 100 capacity cloners, and 3 or more HPS systems.

your little disclaimers wouldnt be a magic potion for keeping them from further monitoring, or looking into you to determine whether or not you are worth the legal efforts on their part. Remember, investigations can take months to years. And as far as investigations go, agents can do what they have to do to enforce the law. This includes lying to you as a part of playing a role which would accomplish said objective.
