    Am I close to harvest?

Ok you great growers out there!

Is this close to harvest? A friend said stop the nutrient now and total darkness at this stage. Wait a week, snip, then begin drying. Smoke it up. Is it that simple?

I keep looking for harvest on the map so I can find out if you're close to it or not.

But yeah, its that easy. And can be done with or without that dark period. When ya cut them down for hanging, its not dead per se, and will live off stored water till there is none...and being as drying is done in the dark...you'll be getting the same effect, but better, being as theres no roots to sustain the plant, than leaving it uncut and just, sitting in the dark.

    Wish it was that simple.
You need a magnifier to look at the tricomes, the beeds of resin will need to change color. also at in the same time sequence you will note the % of red hair. Note the type of hi is usualy by the color and changing of the tricomes.
Also the strain come in to play , some love x number days of TOTAL DARK, some are some are not.
Radio shack has the mag , usualy use the 30 power to look deep into the resin gland.
WAiiiiiiiiiiiting is a pain in the bud, relax and peek at the firm buds.

I call "BULLSHIT" only males/hermies turn to seed, ROFLMAO but, If you wait too long...thc starts to deteriorate..."read the faqs, before you grow"

1st oldsanclem is right, but you cannot understand him...and that late into flower, you have nothing to worry about

you harvest by trichomes...clear, cloudy, amber.
Radioshack sells a 60-100x pocket microscope for 12 bucks...

If you absolutely cannot get a scope, then when all the pistil's on the top buds are dying faster than new pistil's on lower immature buds are developing, then harvest.

Lastly...go to the growfaqs, and read...Zandor put a faq in that forum addressing this. Reading faqs from knowledgable growers is far better than taking advise from whoever?, in the forum. peace, goodluck, Nice plant.

I forgot...you don't want to place your plant in the dark for a week...

Yes you should stop nutriens and flush plants for a week or 2...this allows your plant to use stored nitrogen and your plant tastes better for it...

done just right...the last week of flower your fan leaves should be yellow from lack of nitrogen...peace
