Actually, hot water seems to be even smoother. Like steamin hot water. Works perfect for me everytime and it works better than ice IMO.

Hot water I've read is not good. Something having to do with the heat and causing additional fluid to build up in your lungs....pneumonia, basically.

I've used spring water before (Evian) and didn't notice any effects to the good or to the bad. Just seemed like regular ole' bong smoking. True mineral water, like Perrier, might not be the best. Only because the carbination may make breathing in a little challenging.

They were actually saying that about cold water, specifically putting ice cubes in cold water in your bongs. Remember there was that thread about it?? Hot water steam can be very beneficial to the lungs. Cold water vapors can be bad for the lungs, they said. But, it's that smoking pot harms your lungs anyway, and using ice cubes doesn't do any more damage to them then smoking does in the first place.

So either way, it's not a big deal, and he could actually be doing it the better way by using hot, steaming water. I might try it myself just because I'm curious now.

I've used gallon drinking water in a bong before, it doesn't really do anything but it tastes a little better. At least, in comparison to the faucet water running around this town it does.

Yeah, you're right. Too much herbals....I forgot, LOL. But that makes sense now that I think about it b/c I have asthma and when I was younger the doctor always told me to have a hot beverage on the way to the hospital. Live and learn.

I sometimes use milk. It makes more smoke come out, I don't know why.
