First Time Grower Needs Help

I have read most of the postings and want to get a hydro setup going, but need the specifics. I have many friends who have done it, successfully but am looking for a veteran's help.
Oh yeah, im kind of strapped for cash, and it has to be stealth.
Also can you please send links to help me understand lighting, strategy, pruning, gestation, nutrients, etc.
