A pair of each eh. I'd like to tell ya that using both at the same time will yield a healthy grow...I've no experience though with tubular fluorescents.

If I had that light, I'd yank the two 3000k bulbs for the first two weeks of early growth. Not that they'd hurt much that I know of...the younglings just won't utilize the red anywhere near as much as the blue.

And when it comes time for flowering...ditch the pair of 6500Ks for another pair of the 3000Ks.

Again...that'd be what I'd do. You and your friend will learn as you grow.
