any suggestions on friend room doors?he got about 6ftx21" and about 5'6" of grow height?should he put 2 doors or just one?its 3'6" and he is painting right now with kiltz and then should give it a try hes got a new wave t5 high output fixture w/4 bulbs two differnt kind guy at store suggested.should he b

friends finished with room now just some sprouting and hopefully good grow any suggestion on ventalation and for succesful grow any help with veging should he 18/6 and then after a foot or two 12/12??? 5'6" of height to grow does he need to top them to have short bushes??:thumbsup:

the guy at store told him that he should have a successfull grow with just that light so your telling me he going to have to go back into town to get differnt lights he was supoosed to put two differnt lights in unit when sold any more info???

You can grow all the way through with that light, especially if you've got the warm bulbs for it. Probably woulda been cheaper/better to get a HPS light and some cheapass CFLs bulbs for veg rather than the light he got, but what he got will work. You'll just end up with less bud per dollar you spend on electricity than you would with a HPS light. If it's just for personal consumption, not sale, then yield won't matter much anyway.

I can't tell if that light has the two different T5 bulbs...

The 6500K is TL5 HO/54W/865

The 3000K (too high in the spectrum IMO) is TL5 HO/54W/830

Ande...when your friend is ready to force flowering, he'll be wanting the 3000K bulbs if he wants to see the sort of results hoped for. $15-20 each from most grow suppliers.

A pair of each eh. I'd like to tell ya that using both at the same time will yield a healthy grow...I've no experience though with tubular fluorescents.

If I had that light, I'd yank the two 3000k bulbs for the first two weeks of early growth. Not that they'd hurt much that I know of...the younglings just won't utilize the red anywhere near as much as the blue.

And when it comes time for flowering...ditch the pair of 6500Ks for another pair of the 3000Ks.

Again...that'd be what I'd do. You and your friend will learn as you grow.

btw...grow suppliers are merchants...and merchants are out to make a profit.

It's typical and common for them to push the product line that nets them the biggest profit.

So before you start buying high end nutrients and other hardware to compliment the lights...get what ya need to get the grow done...not what they tell you will make for some sort of miracle hyper-fast grow from hell.

'Oh yeah...I use this nute...best yields I've ever had'....when ya hear that sort of thing, pass!

well friend hung door and it has begun,he was wanting to know if he should go thru light cycle 18/6 now or wait till he sees sprouting??he said with fan runing its about 90 degrees at hottest part of day does he need to worry about temp control????
