I'm from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and it's pretty cool around here. We all support him and even people who really don't care about sports whatsoever (like me) still get into Floyd's victory. Last week I drove by his parents home in Farmersville (just a few miles from my house). There were signs in people's yards. Floyd Landis and I had the same 4th grade teacher at Brownstown Elementary School, Mrs. Dell. (As a kid I lived in Brownstown for 4 years, right next to Floyd's Farmersville.)

I live in Ephrata, where Floyd bought his first bike. In my mind, Floyd's the champ. If I ever have a son I think I'll name him Floyd, (not just for him but for Pink Floyd).

Floyd's ancestors were hemp farmers here in Lancaster County. His ancestors names appear in my book about the great Pennsylvania hemp industry, Hempstone Heritage.

Wow! I'm starting to make some connections here in my mind...
