First CFL grow
Mmmm, looks like the plant took that burn pretty badly. To help it get out of its shock use some superthrive, sugar, or corn syrup (yes, it does work as good as sugar). Oh, you could call that plant Rocky cause it seems to be a fighter that isn't willing to just lay down and give up.

Whats your Ratio of Sugar to water. Like one tablespoon per gallon?

THanks your help is greatly appreciated.

oh yeah forgot, one female and still not sure on the other. no
hairs yet but 90% sure it female also. The one that almost died
was the one that showed sex first and turned out female.
They are tied down and the branches are mixing in with
eachother so I hope the other is female cause it will be
a bitch taking that plant out now.

kdspecial-I usually start by slowly inducing the plants to sugar. Usually with the sugar solution I put one Tsp. starting in 20 oz. bottles and water the plants with that. When I put it into gallon solutions I usually double starting solution and go up from there. Usually I end up with about 6 tsp. per gallon. I have never had a problem with too much sugar either.
yab- I would watch that plant that burned and look for hermie tendencies cause that is a lot of stress for a plant to to through. Also, trim your lower brances cause the light is going to get caught in your top canopy and the lower branches will not recieve much light. You want your plants energy to be focused on the top branches cause that is where most of your light is going to be trapped.

I know this is a little late, but no one answered your lighting question. Those 42W bulbs @ Wal Mart are for flowering. They carry the ones for veg in lower watts @ my local Wal Mart. For veg stage, you should use the blue packs which have a color temp of 6500K. If it doesn't say 6500k, don't assume that they are. Not that you can't grow them with those, but I just wanted to clarify for future trips to Wal Mart

If I use CFL's again I'll keep that in mind. And thanks again on clearing
that up on those lights for me

Its good that you have a Warm CFL. Just how many do you have exactly? Another thing, I was just thinking that because you have such a confined space and the plants are growing into each other you could do a SOG experiment. Just trim all of you lower leaves cause they will recieve so little amount of light that they will actually be inhibiting the plant. Just leave your main top branches and the plant will devote most of its energy into those top branches and give you some pretty good sized top buds.

As for the lights it is still 3, 42 watt CFL's.
Thanks for all your advice so far kush:stoned:

I cut back some of the larger fan leafs because they
were shading the new growth on the flowering sites.
I really don't like cutting anything but they were
hindering the light reaching the new growth.
The canopy is really starting to fill out. For a simple
grow like this I really didn't expect these results. Not
as good as other grows I have done but I am pleased
so far.
I have not put as much effort into this grow as past
grows and it shows me that any one who wants to
grow their own to smoke and enjoy the hobby of
growing that it is not hard to do.
