Then again i have only done 1 grow
I actually like these more than I thought I would.
The watts they use and the heat put off by CFL's
are minimal and very manageable in smaller grow
spaces. Not to mention they fit into a standard
light fixture. For a first time grower or beginer
they are perfect, I have used Hps's and MH's
in the past and they can get a bit pricey, for
a begginer that could be a real downer. I still
miss my large grow room though. Im still a little
noided about setting up another large grow so
this CFL grow is perfect for me.

how far do u keep those cfl's from your cola?.......

.... cfl's work the BEST with LST...you can get those suckers so close to the undergrowth....

...you shouldn't need any more cool cfls than what you already have.....just flower around 10-12".....

....when u flower you will need to get more wattage of the warms cfls than you are running now...

...P.S. thanks for removing your old avatar....it was giving me nightmares!....

Im keeping them close to an inch and a half to two inches from
the lights. I am going to start training the sativa this weekend
or the start of next week. I don't think the indica dominate strain
I have will need to be trained.

Here is a comparison pic of the sativa to the indica, putting these
two together wasn't the best idea but this is just a test run with
CFL's for me. I have to set the indica on an wooden block to raise
    it to the level needed.

Ok I just tied down the two main branches that have
grew up after topping this plant. I am going to let the
lower branches grow a bit then start flowering because
    of space issues.

The indica dominate plant is at 9" and the sativa at 12"
after tieing the branches down. New growth every day
    now.

They hit a growth spert I am running low on room but I
want the lower branches on the sativa to get a bit larger
before flowering. But since this is just pretty much a test
run maybe I should go a head and set the timer for 12/12.
    And see what comes out.

Hello. I see you are going for the CFL grow route. A good choice seeing as you can get close to near identical results with CFL's as you could with HPS or MH. IF you can try to get some more lights cause the more lights you have on those little things the better they will get. I have had one plant take 7 CFL lights before so you can almost never have enough. Also, try to add a warm CFL in to the mix already. Don't add a lot of them just one maybe two. They help to fill out the spectrum that your CFL lights emit. When you start flowering you can either keep the ratio of warm to cool a equal 1:1 or a 1:2. Just don't keep all warm CFL lights cause it will produce large airy buds and the plants will seem stretched a little during flowering. Hope any of this helped.

    Happy Toking :rasta:

That was what i was thinking about is getting some
lower watt CFL's as supplement lights. this is my first
CFL the other grows I have done were with Hps's and
MH's in a much larger space. I don't plan on another
large indoor grow anytime soon, so these CFL lights
are perfect for the small grows of 1 to 2 plants I
    plan on after this one.

I'll pick up a pack of the lower watt warms before
    setting it on 12/12.
    Thanks for the advice.

You are correct I did some research on the bulbs I bought
and found out they do give off 2,700 lumens.

Here is a link to the lights I am using.
Any suggestions on this light from
    anyone would be great. Anyone
used this light before? And what
    results did you get?

    More pics

Not to bad for only spending around $30 on this
grow so far I had everything but the lights before
hand. Hope they don't turn out to be two males.
