EXTINCTION!
The Sun is classified as a main sequence star, which means it is in a state of "hydrostatic balance", neither contracting nor expanding, and is generating its energy through nuclear fusion of hydrogen nuclei into helium.

I don,t man but what I learned in astronomy is that when the star has burned almost all of its hydrogene located in the center of a star ( creating helium)the thermonuclear reactions move to the exterior causing the expansion of the star
