When I walk out of my house the first thing I see, about 3-4 miles away, is the Santa Cruz Mountains and Mt Umunhum in particular. Yesterday the police raided a farm on Mt. Umunhun with over 11k plants and on Monday they raided a farm with over 10K plants. Damn! So much weed within sight of my house and the police found it first

The farms were about 3-4 miles from my house, and a couple thousand feet up on the mountian, so no, I didn't smell it. Many times over the years I've been mt biking up in the area, however, and would catch a whiff of something "skunky" It's best not to go poking around the big farms though. Those guys tend to shoot first and ask questions later. When they raid these places its like a military operation. Cops in full camo with automatic weapons creeping up the hill. They had another big bust last fall where one cop and two growers died in the shootout.

I saw the bust on the news last night. The plants were already about 4' each and it looked like a pretty professional operation. Probably would have turned out a pretty good harvest come this fall if they hadn't gotten busted.
