Hold your hit in or not?

I've read that you get higher if you do, and I've read that the THC is absorbed instantly and it's pointless to hold your hit in? Anyone know which is the most beneficial to do?

dude, there's so many people on both sides, here's what you do: Take a bag and smoke two different times but same amounts. First time smoke it like you would a cigarette, then next time hold that shit in as long as you can. If there's no effect for you, then why bother.
Personally I hold them in as long as I can, because for me I feel the effects more. My buddy absolutely hates smoking and for him holding the hit in does nothing for him. So really just try for yourself bro! Happy smokin!

dont need to hold just need to make sure u get it all in to ur lungs, i always take a breath after the hit to pull it all in then breath out right away

The THC is abosrbed almost instantly, and a normal breath is about 3 seconds, so by the time you breathe out naturally it'll all be absorbed. Holding it in allowes the tar in the smoke to stick to the lining on your lung, making you cough, and making it harder for the THC to be absorbed.

FYI a well rolled joint has the highest THC transfer rate as far as i know, so smoke joints.

i believe holding it in feels more effect because holding it in means ur suffocating ur self (oxygen deprevation).. far as i kno 90% thc is absorbed instantly so the left oversmoke would be the impurities.. what ur feeling is probaby the impurities being absorbed combined with the suffocation..

I hold it in for like a second. Holding it in for long will do nothing. Inhaling deeper will though.

as long as you dont exhale it before its all in your good, like buddah luvaz said I like to hold and choke on it if its a mammoth hit just for shits.
