alright the reason I'm posting this is because im never going to do it again. From now on we'll just call him "Joe". Joe needed money really badly a few months ago so this is what he did.
He knew that paypal's terms did not cover "Intangible" items like ebooks,egold,or any type of online game accounts. So Joe went on ebay and found listings for World Of Warcraft accounts that were selling for large amounts. He found an account that was about to sell for over $700, and copied all the info in the listing as well as saved the picture of the character. The next day the auction for that account was over, so Joe started a listing that was identical to original, and put it up for a 1 day auction. Within 12 hours it was sold for $600 and the money was in his paypal account. Joe transferred the money to his bank account and he had the money in his hand in 2 days. Joe just told the buyer that he would not send the account details to him until the $ was in his hand.
About a week passes and the buyer realizes hes been scammed. So he sends lots of emails to joe but he never replies. Buyer then tries a paypal chargeback, but joe tells paypal that he sent the buyer his account, and the buyer is trying to scam joe. Joe also mentions to paypal that this is a WoW account and is an intangible item. A few days later paypal rules in Joes favor.
A month later joe does the same thing again but makes $700 this time. He does exactly the same thing as last time, but this time the buyer somehow found out joes home phone number. He calls alot, but after he gives the buyer the "run around" he stops calling. Paypal also finds Joe the winner of this chargeback.
Thats it. Just know that this can be risky and if youre going to use your own account with your own name attached to it, this is a stupid idea, and youll only win 2 buyer disputes tops.
If the time frame is so short, you may not have much of a chance but to sell the drum kit.
Try selling stuff on Craigslist - You'll have the cash in your hand and ready to spend much faster than Ebay, in my experience. Also, ask family friends if they'd like a babysitter, have their lawn mowed, or hell, even their houses cleaned. You'd be amazed how many lazy-ass housewives will shell out for a little dusting and scrubbing.
Sorry that I can't tell you the secret that makes $500 appear in your hands instantly. However, if you'd like to learn, send a letter to me with a money order for $500. :-D
If he came here and cleaned my house, took care of the lawn, helped in the gardens and did odd jobs, I'd pay him 500$

go to a chat room posing as a 14 year old girl, and you'll be swamped by messages from internet pedophiles--choose a provocative chat name. send them pictures of the 14 year old girl, and then they will want to do the cyber sex thing with you. Play along, as this will only add to the facade. when you have the pedophile hooked on you ( and it won't take much) , you can then arrange a meeting for sex. Being a 14 year old girl, you must advise the pedophile that he should not personally buy the plane ticket for you, but he should wire you the money through western union to your older brother, who always wanted you to meet a nice older man. get the test question and the sender's information. go to western union and tell them you would like to pick up the money using the test question and sender's information. then you get the money in your pocket, no questions asked.
keep pressing him for money, and eventually he will wire you the money for the airfare. you can keep hitting him up for money until he won't pay any more. this is a confidence scam and it works really well, and plus he is unlikely to report it to the authorities because he is soliciting sex to a minor.
to do this it takes talent. if you got the talent, you can get the money. it's a variation on a 419 romance scam; i find it works really well when messing with pedophiles. i've never scammed them out of money but i definately could have got a couple hundred if i would have pressed him hard enough. it's all about what they call "social engineering". tell them what they want to hear and they will give you what they want .
