This is your life....
Ok well i recently started liking the band Switchfoot. They have this song called "This is your life". I really like the song one of the main lyrics in it is...
This is your life, are you who you wanna be?
that statement makes me think so much. I mean really it is my life but im not who i wanna be. Like i tihnk before i could truly answer that question i need to find myself. Ive been thinking and you know how people go into solitutde for awhile and learn about themselves? well i dont think that works cuz i think that you learn more of urself by social interactions and just paying more attention. I really hope one day when i answer that question i can say Yes, but for the time being i have to say no. How does everyone else answer this question? Sorry this song just wowed me and inspired me to find myself and be who i wanna be. So reply, cmon now tell me how you are.sToNeDpEnGuIn420 Reviewed by sToNeDpEnGuIn420 on . This is your life.... Like ive said in other posts, id have to answer No to that question.. hence the 'going into solitude' thing lol, but each to his own, different strokes for different folks etc.. each of us is different, and we each have our own way of finding ourselves, be it religion, travelling, solitude, having children, relationsips.. you name it, someone will find themselves by doing it lol peace

Only thing left that could derail my eternal happiness is the female factor... you never know whats gonna happen after a few years of marriage

I know who I am... It would suck not to I'd think.
You are who you are. Weather that be someone who knows what the hells up, or if you just kind of meander through life. That is what makes you who you are. There is no way "to find yourself". I have qualities, and shortcomings, just like everyone else. That's who we are. If you're someone that doesn't feel you know who you are, that's just a part of being who you are. My opinion anyway. Not sure if I got my point across well here though...
EDIT: Ok, I just read that over myself... and that barely makes sense to me, lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying that we all have a predestined role in life?
For example, I wanted to be a truck driver (or any sort of driver, for that matter - I love driving lol) from an early age. I also fancied being an accountant, or a business consultant, or a computer programmer - but the dorrs to becoming a truck driver opened first and widest.
However, after 17yrs on the road, I feel like a change, but all I know is driving.
So, it doesn't matter that I have the intelligence to do something else, driving a truck suits me fine, and I'm good at it - and as it comes so naturally to me, I could assume that my 'role' is to be a trucker - regardless of what else I want.
Is that what you were trying to say, or have I just confused the issue even more
lmfaooo
I think I probably have lol
I'll get my coat.....
