UPS Stores
Alright ... I hope you guys listen to me on this.
When people say to open a PO Box, a PMB at a UPS Store or Mail Boxes Etc. IS NOT THE SAME. You disclose all of your information, and give them the right to inspect anything they suspect of being illegal. Just keep that in mind and don't use one. Agree.
I used to work for UPS about 15 years ago and did not like what I saw going on in the central loading hub.
Packages marked "fragile"......That meant launch it 15 feet through the air. This was common with package handlers.
UPS has an equivalent to a U.S. Postal Inspector. But there is a world of difference between the two.
This UPS inspector would randomly cut open parcel. If there was anything suspicious. You got reported. Unheard of in the U.S. postal system, except, by law, only in certain circumstance or International mail, which can be opened anytime, anyplace as well.
But for domestic mail U.S. mail there are sanctity laws in place to protect the privacy of the U.S. mail.
United Parcel Inpectors have the right to open anything, anytime and anywhere they feel like it.
This is why you never want your Government mail, which still has laws of sancticty, (privacy) to be privatized to groups like UPS or FEDEX, or you can expect your mail to be rifled and opened freely and dumped on your doorstep.
I have seen the inner workings of UPS and would urge you all not to do business with them.
It should come as no surprise that UPS pays out 10's of millions in claims every year due to how they handle and destroy parcel.
Have a good one.
