Probation drug testing

I went in for my first probation meeting today, 15 days since starting probation, and was given a piss test. I was told that if my levels were high enough to PROVE that I had smoked since being on probation (15 days) that he could violate me for probation. I told him I had been a very heavy smoker up until court, that I had been around it often since then and that I had smoked a few hits a couple days after my court date which he seemed to be cool with as long as my levels were not so high to prove I had been smoking within the past week or so. Now in reality, I was a heavy smoker about two months ago not two weeks and since then have been smoking occasionaly (every 2-5 days in reduced quantities as opposed to all day every day). However, I have smoked about three times since being on probation including a few hits LAST NIGHT. I have no doubt I will have THC in my system, but considering the short time period and the fact that he is looking at it as me being a heavy smoker recently when in fact I have been smoking less for a good time now. It seems like my levels would have to be huge to prove that I had been smoking recently. So, what do you think my chances are of being busted for this? Educated speculation is welcome, but people with similar experiences and answers are preferred. Thanks.

I would dillute your urine by drinking water and taking vitamin B just to be on the safe side. And don't use the first piss of the day; also use the middle stream of your piss, not the start or end.

If you do this, there's no doubt you will be fine. If you take it without doing anything, its on the questionable side but you could get away with it.

Thanks for the info, but this is something that already happened. I just got tested. I have no plans of needing to dilute in future tests. I just wanted to know about the ability of probation officers to actually PROVE that i had smoked recently.

well... i have LOTs of personal experience from being on probation for several years..threw rehab.. threw placements.. now on parole. i have only failed one drug test. whice is the first one they ever gave me.

Now telling you po thatthc might be in your system because youve been around it might be a better option than admitting to smoking but realize it is a violation to be in the presence of someone smoking or in posession of marijuana.

Know that the simple strip urine tests are very inacurate but work enough to bust you. there are several ways to mask you urine.. you cant clean ur syetem perminatly only tempoarily. Ive gone to gnc and purchased the detox. Your not suppose to smoke for atleast 3 days before using to insure ur chances of passing but i smoked the day before liek always and passed. its exspencive but might be worth it. usually i just drink LOTS of water. Some people may say it doesnt work but believe me i smoke everyday constantly up to the day i report then i get all paranoid and drink water all day.
the key is to piss as many times as possible before you report. you dont have to start a weeek b4 u report. i usually start the night b4 i report. i drink alot of water b4 sleep, wake up in the middle of the night, drink more, sleep, Repeat. then the next day i have a big cup with water and drink whenever i think i can hold more water. now when u piss its gonna come out clear. your po might say somthing about it. a way to make ur piss yellow is taking vitamin c pill or vitamin b12 pills anything like gatorade. azo's dont do anything but help u piss alot. theese make ur piss red, orange, then yellow if u take theese a few days b4 u repot the color should be a nice consistant yellow dont take too near ur report date because it will be obvious when u piss red or dark orange. hope this helps

oh, and as far as the ''thc level'' its probobly bullshit. just know it takes 30 days to get out of ur system and if it hasnt been that long he cant lock u up for that. he would probly have to send it to a lab somewhere to be tested for the level.

They can and do check for levels of THC in your system. Out here in Ohio the courts will be lenient on you dropping dirty if they see your levels coming down. I'm not sure if I can explain it right, but I'll try- on the common tests that have a 50mg cutoff, you are allowed to have that much THC in your system to be considered neg. Now if your over that number those are your levels. I've never had my levels tested but say that your levels are 120mg one drop and the next drop you come in, it will be about 80mg-thats how they can see that they are dropping.

My best advice dealing with the Criminal Justice system and studying it-don't test them!!! Violation can mean jail time, depending on your situation. Probation is not a right, it is a privledge. If he said that he won't violate you if your levels are going down, stop smoking! Hopefully your probation isn't too long and you can pick up where you left off. Dilution will make them question you, some POs don't go for it period! I was on pre-trial supervision once and used a detox drink to pass. LUCKILY I was taking a few meds at the time because my urine was so yellow they werent going to take the sample. I got lucky with a real cool Pretrial Officer, and he knew my meds and took it anyway.

Don't chance it though-as much as they want you to stay out of trouble and help you reform, they will send your ass to jail. Hope it helps
