Wtf, banner in thread listings?

I understand the need to generate income with commercial links since most of us use this site without paying but come on....
These banners are not even remotely cannabis related. They are tacky links to "meet hot women'" "cheat at poker" etc.
Not a move in the right direction in my opinion.

users are talking about ads in the threads, this is normal and is a new change, it is a new ad spot that we have opened up for some new potential advertisers including the possibility of exclusive forum sponsorship
Cafe members and mods will not see these ads
advertisers pay us so it may not look pretty for free users, but what can be done, we have tweaked it and will continually tweak it so as things to minimize annoyance, this is all part of our new systems we are testing out.

as i suspected, it appears this change is here to stay...we understand it doesn't look pretty, but all the more reason to become a cafe member.

Sundance how about you tell us whatsup? Why are there even more ads in even MORE annoying places? This site now takes at least 10 seconds to load up. This shit is getting on my nerves. Everything else is fine here. I enjoy the members and how great/fair the mods are, but come on. By the way Cannabis.com if you have firefox download 'adblock' and you can block some of these shitty ads. To bad it's only the picture ones but It helps load a lil faster for me and maybe it will help you out to.

on the list of threads at the top bottom and middle even when you open up a thread there would be more in between peoples post's but im not complaining.

Im just saying thats all, i know you dont get these if your a paying member but maybe it would be a good idea if you come up with more ideas so that people can pay for a membership online such as a debit card, credit card, splash plastic card?

A lot more people would get it because its a lot easier, people just cant be bothered to go to the bank or post office to change their money from GBP (great british pound) so USD (us dollar).
