Can too much co2 make plants stop maturing?

My friend has no co2 controller, just sets the flow-meter on the tank to 3 cu ft/hr and lets it run continuous (for the 12 hours lights on). Room is fairly sealed but has some smell/air leaks. The plants only had 8 more days of flowering and had red hairs, getting the final resiny-ness. A day after the co2 started, the buds were all shooting out new white hairs (a bad sign in my opinion, means theyâ??re stopping maturing and starting to grow new buds again â?? in week 8).

Could the co2 cause this? Also we worked in the room for an hour while the co2 was running at that flowrate; is that bad for your health, if so what does it do to you?

As long as theres plenty of O2 in the room, it's unlikely that breathing slightly elevated levels of CO2 will bother you.

The level would have to be fairly significant, 2%, or, 20,000ppm before you or your buddy would begin having minor issues with breathing. And somewhere on the order of 80,000ppm for seriously dangerous levels. I won't bothering mentioning that 80k ppm is hard to make happen unless theres a big time drop in the available breathable O2 levels.

If you happen to notice your buddies lips turning blue...get out!

Optimum levels of CO2 for your plants can't even begin to come close to being a bother to a healthy human.
