Hydroponics VS Soil
I would like to know how much more yeild you can expect from hydro than soil. I am in the process with two grandaddy purples and one silver haze all in soil. I also use all FOX FARMS plus there feeding shedule. I would also like to know which hydro is easy to mantain plus you can get a good yeild from it.
Thanks all this is a killer sitecannon Reviewed by cannon on . Hydroponics VS Soil I would like to know how much more yeild you can expect from hydro than soil. Hydroponics VS Soil
The easiest hydro to build, maintain, etc is flood-and-drain. It's almost trouble free. Just check for clogs daily, check the pH of the res, change res water weekly, you're good to go.
But I'm in love with dirt, having tried both. It's easy to maintain and my product tastes nice, having been grown in cow shit, bat shit, and rotten seaweed! :P~\"Careful what you carry- \'cause the Man is wise- you are still an outlaw in their eyes\" -Steely Dan

once your systems are all tuned and you're also injecting CO2, people tell me that you can expect 3x or more yield than with a comparable soil grow.

The INJECTING CO2 being key to this. Also increases dirt yields.

Well my 2¢ is yes CO² will increase the yield by at least 30% if you use it right. But you asked about the difference in yield of hydro vs. dirt. The first one is in hydro indoors you can get 3 to 4 crops a year. With some methods you can get 5 or 6 but with dirt most can only get one croup maybe 2 if they are lucky. So is you average the yield over a year. Hydroponics will give you more of a yield. But if you only grow once a year and grow big dirt will give you a lot to. There is one way to grow in hydro that will give you 2-3 pounds from each plant.
That is for pros though the setup cost a shit load to build and run but it will give you the most bang for the buck itâ??s called KBS growing. The setup is 15k to 20k to do it right with about 20 plants.

Where can I read or buy info on the KBS method ? I got a shitload in what I have now and have yet to germ a seed. Everytime I think I have it the way I want, I decide I need another fan, timer, controller, etc.

Hydroponics VS Soil
I am by no means an experienced grower, but I have been able to get resonable product a couple times. Having tried both methods, I am sold on soil for its plain simplicity. I have had no major problems with soil as long as prep and care is taken. My first and only hydro experienced, I couldn't get rid of a root rot problem. Well over a month of veg growth and the plants were barely 8" tall. I narrowed it down to excessive temp in the water in conjunction with a pretty warm room. Obviously this was something that could be overcome, but I decided to transplant into regular soil and within a few weeks they were getting close to 3 feet.
Once I get some good larger scale results with soil, I want to try hydro again. Obviously it can be done well and you seem to have more control, but I feel there are more problems that can arise.
